The photoluminescence in the blue spectral region with a high QY is also in agreement with the band-edge transition at the Γ-valley of AlSb. XRD, HR-TEM imaging, and analysis of the pseudodiffraction pattern confirmed the presence of cubic AlSb crystal planes. EDS analysis also indicates the stoichiometric elemental compositions. The toxic, heavy-metal-free content combined with bright emission shows a high potential for biological and optoelectronic applications.
